SUPPLIER QUALIFICATION GUIDE

How to Qualify a Structured Cabling Manufacturer in China

Supplier qualification should connect the legal entity, manufacturing responsibility, exact product, evidence scope and commercial commitment. A logo wall or factory photo is not enough by itself.

DIRECT ANSWER

The selection rule

Qualify the entity that quotes and contracts, identify which entity manufactures, verify product evidence by issuer and scope, review how the exact order is controlled, and record configuration, MOQ, lead time, packing and delivery terms in the formal quotation.

Verify the contracting and manufacturing entities

Ask which legal entity issues the quotation and invoice, which entity manufactures or assembles the product, and how responsibility passes between them. Names on business licenses, test reports, certificates and bank details should be explained when they differ.

Match evidence to the exact product and claim

Record the issuer, named entity, standard, product or series scope, date and validity. Treat a catalog, component report, channel report and management-system certificate as different evidence types.

  • Request the current file rather than relying on a cropped image.
  • Check whether the tested construction matches the quoted construction.
  • Confirm the applicable standard edition and destination-specific requirement.
  • Do not assume one test report covers every variant in a product family.

Test the order-control process before volume production

A useful sample or pilot order should verify configuration control, labels, packing, documentation, communication and corrective-action handling—not only appearance.
